ROUND BODIES AND POLYESTERS: Manifestations by a 5th grade teacher of the Elementary School

Resumo: Geometry is a theme that has the potential for teachers continued education in the early years of Elementary School, as pointed out by Lorenzato (1995), Curi (2004) and Barbosa (2017). This paper aims to observe and analyze the records of semiotic representation, according to Duval (2003), mobilized by a Elementary school teacher in a sequence of three classes involving round bodies and polyhedra. To Duval (2015), semiotic representation records are a necessary condition for access to mathematical objects, which makes them essential for the preparation of classes. In the methodological part, the research was carried out by class observation in the 5th year of a public school at São Paulo city. The results of the research revealed that the conversions between the records of representation in natural and pictorial languages occurred implicitly by the teacher.

Este artículo tuvo como objetivo observar y analizar los registros de representación semiótica, según Duval (2003), movilizados por un profesor polivalente en una secuencia de tres clases sobre cuerpos redondos y poliédricos. Para Duval (2015), los registros de representación semiótica constituyen una condición necesaria para el acceso a los objetos matemáticos, lo que los vuelve imprescindibles para la preparación de las clases. En la parte metodológica, la investigación fue realizada por observación presencial en el 5º año de una escuela pública de la ciudad de São Paulo. Los resultados de la investigación revelaron que las conversiones entre las representaciones en lenguaje natural y las pictóricas se dieron implícitamente por parte del docente.A Geometria se constitui em tema que apresenta potencial para formação continuada de professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental conforme apontam Lorenzato (1995), Curi (2004) e Barbosa (2017). Este artigo objetivou observar e analisar os registros de representação semiótica, conforme Duval (2003), mobilizados por uma professora polivalente em uma sequência de três aulas sobre corpos redondos e poliedros. Para Duval (2015), os registros de representação semióticos se constituem como condição necessária de acesso aos objetos matemáticos, o que os torna essenciais para a preparação das aulas. Na parte metodológica, a pesquisa se efetivou pela observação presencial no 5º ano de uma escola da rede pública da cidade de São Paulo.
