Resumo: Open Science is a broad movement that has been the subject of publication by Information Science researchers in Brazil since 2014. The objective of this research is to understand the approaches and research lines of excellence in graduate programs in Information Science in Brazil and the research projects of their professors from the perspective of the Open Science movement. This is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach, based on the themes of the Brazilian Open Science Taxonomy, using Microsoft Excel and Gephi software, based on graduate programs in Information Science that received ratings of 5, 6, or 7 in the CAPES evaluation from 2017 to 2020. The results indicate the prominence of the interests of professors and programs focused on Open Data and Bibliometrics. It is concluded that Information Science is building its path towards embracing Open Science, but still needs to explore some other aspects.
