Diagnosis on the degree of knowledge about the Ilha Grande National Park by teachers and pedagogues of public schools in the vicinity

Resumo: This study aims to analyze the degree of knowledge and the context of the llha Grande National Park in teaching practices of public schools located in the area of coverage of the Núcleo Regional de Educação de Umuarama, which have borders on this park. It was used a qualitative research method, in the form of semi-structured questionnaires, with a sample of 12 pedagogues and 24 teachers from the 6th grade of Basic Education. The results show that there is a knowledge still under construction among the participants about the subject studied. Besides alleging that they did not know the park pedagogically, the majority revealed that they enjoyed the place for tourism and did not observe the conflicts and daily relations between the park and the school community. In 22 years of existence of the Conservation Unit, it was verified that it is still necessary to value complementary training for understanding the territory itself, in the context of Environmental Education.

El abordaje empleado fue la investigación cualitativa, en la forma de cuestionarios semiestructurados, con muestreo de 12 pedagogas y 24 profesores del 6º año de la Enseñanza Básica. Los resultados apuntan a un conocimiento todavía en construcción entre los participantes sobre el tema estudiado. Aparte de que confirmaron no conocer el Parque pedagógicamente, la mayoría reveló que usufructuó del atractivo para turismo y no observaron los conflictos y relaciones cotidianas entre el Parque y su comunidad escolar. A los 22 años de ésta Unidad de Conservación, se constató que todavía es necesaria la valoración de la formación complementar para comprender el propio territorio, en el contexto de la Educación Ambiental.Este estudo teve como objetivo principal diagnosticar o grau de conhecimento e forma de abordagem do tema Parque Nacional de Ilha Grande na práxis docente em colégios públicos da área de abrangência do Núcleo Regional de Educação de Umuarama, que fazem divisa com esta Unidade de Conservação. A metodologia empregada foi pesquisa qualitativa, na forma de questionários semiestruturados, com amostragem de 12 pedagogas e 24 professores do 6º ano do Ensino Básico. Os resultados apontam para um conhecimento ainda em construção entre os participantes sobre o tema estudado. Além de afirmarem não conhecer o Parque pedagogicamente, a maioria revelou que usufrui do atrativo para turismo e não observa os conflitos e relações cotidianas entre o Parque e sua comunidade escolar.
