Resumo: This article aims to analyze the production of the Research Group on Environmental Education, Public Policy and Social Management of Territories (GEPET) on environmental education (analyzed in isolation or associated with other secondary thematic focuses), understanding it as interpretative matrix of formal, non-formal and informal educational processes, involved in the sustainable development and social management of territories and the main contributions of the knowledge produced by the Group to the field. It identifies the state of knowledge in the field of environmental education, based on the academic production of GEPET,  in doctoral theses and master’s theses, between 2010 and 2020. Theoretically, it is supported by the reflections of Pinto (1979) and Mutim (2018). Among the main contributions of GEPET to the field of environmental education is the theoretical-empirical deepening and the political-social engagement of/in the relationship between environmental education, sustainable development, and social management of territories.

Identifica el estado del conocimiento en el campo de la educación ambiental, a partir de la producción académica de GEPET, en tesis doctorales y tesis de maestría, entre 2010 y 2020. Teóricamente, se sustenta en las reflexiones de Pinto (1979) y Mutim (2018). Entre los principales aportes de GEPET al campo de la educación ambiental se encuentra la profundización teórico-empírica y el compromiso político-social de / en la relación entre educación ambiental, desarrollo sostenible y gestión social de los territorios.O presente texto tem como objetivo analisar a produção do Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental, Políticas Públicas e Gestão Social dos Territórios (GEPET) sobre Educação Ambiental (analisada de maneira isolada ou associada a outros enfoques temáticos secundários), compreendendo-a como matriz interpretativa dos processos educativos formais, não formais e informais, implicados no desenvolvimento sustentável e gestão social dos territórios e as principais contribuições do conhecimento produzido pelo Grupo para o campo. Identifica o estado do conhecimento do campo da Educação Ambiental, a partir da produção acadêmica do GEPET, em teses de doutorado e dissertações de mestrado, entre os anos de 2010 e 2020. Teoricamente, apoia-se nas reflexões de Pinto (1979) e Mutim (2018).
