Sustainability and Public Policies: Treatment in Contemporary Environmental Education

Resumo: The focus study aims to explore the correspondences between the applications of public policies and sustainability, through a theoretical review, as the condition by which this conceptual theme directs the treatment in contemporary environmental education. The methodology used to achieve this objective was qualitative of a descriptive nature, due to the use of a theoretical exam of analytical specificity on sustainability and public policies: the treatment in environmental education in contemporary times. When calculating the results, the situation of loss of the integration potential of the industrial society was found, all that protection understood by the Welfare State revealed a set of uncertainties and mistrust. It was possible to identify a double difficulty: to stipulate a set of citizen actions that link this education to the broader objective of public policies and to rescue the idea of sustainability as a vehicle for socio-political expression.

La metodología utilizada para lograr este objetivo fue cualitativa con una naturaleza descriptiva, debido al uso de un examen teórico de especificidad analítica sobre sostenibilidad y políticas públicas: tratamiento en educación ambiental en los tiempos contemporáneos. Al calcular los resultados, se encontró la situación de pérdida del potencial para la integración de la sociedad industrial, toda esa protección entendida por el Estado de Bienestar reveló un grupo de incertidumbres y desconfianza. Fue posible identificar una doble dificultad: estipular un grupo de acciones ciudadanas que vinculen esta educación con el objetivo más amplio de las políticas públicas y recuperar la idea de sostenibilidad como vehículo para la expresión sociopolítica.O estudo em foco visa explorar as correspondências entre as aplicações das políticas públicas e a sustentabilidade, por meio de uma revisão teórica, como a condição pela qual esse tema conceitual direciona o tratamento na educação ambiental contemporânea. A metodologia utilizada para atingir este objetivo foi qualitativa de natureza descritiva, devido à utilização de um exame teórico de especificidade analítica sobre sustentabilidade e políticas públicas: o tratamento em educação ambiental na contemporaneidade. Ao calcular os resultados, constatou-se a situação de perda do potencial de integração da sociedade industrial, toda aquela proteção compreendida pelo Estado Providência revelou um conjunto de incertezas e desconfianças.
