Resumo: O artigo se propõe a compreender e aprofundar os estudos sobre o planejamento e a adoção de estratégias municipais do Turismo em Novo Hamburgo e, por meio da reflexão e do diálogo, busca analisar a importância da sinergia entre o planejamento e as estratégias de gestão pública com o perfil da demanda e com as potencialidades turísticas locais, inseridas numa visão estratégica para a condução das atividades turísticas de forma sustentável e que possibilite o desenvolvimento local e regional. Para tanto, o estudo assume o caráter exploratório-qualitativo numa pesquisa de cunho científico.Palavras-chave: Turismo. Planejamento. Estratégias. Perfil de demanda. Desenvolvimento local e regional.
