Resumo: | Dengue is an arbovirus caused by the Dengue virus, and transmitted mainly by female Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes, which can be divided into four serotypes, and persists as a public health problem in Brazil. However, even though the pathology is endemic in more than 100 countries around the world, there are not many recent studies that address the profile of this disease in the population as a whole. Therefore, the main objective of the present work is to describe the profile of hospitalizations for Dengue among the regions of Brazil over a period of 5 years. For this purpose, data were collected from the SUS Hospital Information System (SIH / SUS), available at the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS) between 2019 and 2023. The analysis obtained showed that the majority of hospitalizations occurred in the year 2019, with the Southeast region dominating in the number of deaths, mortality rate and average value of hospitalizations. Furthermore, the profile of hospitalizations found was female, aged between 20 and 29 years old and mixed race. Furthermore, the Northeast region had the highest average length of stay. Therefore, the importance of this research is highlighted to more effectively understand the profile of the pathology in these Brazilian regions, with the aim of contributing to prevention strategies and better prognoses. |

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-04-12info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/190810.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n4p1217-1230Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - IMPACT FACTOR SJIF 5.807; 1217-1230Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 1217-1230Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 1217-12302674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1908/2127Copyright (c) 2024 Caroline Carraro, Juliana Cavalcanti de Morais, Gabriel Vergolino Eleres, Sarah Maria Maia Rodrigues de Carvalho Holanda Azevedo, Guilherme de Andrade Ruelahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCarraro, CarolineCavalcanti de Morais, JulianaVergolino Eleres, GabrielMaia Rodrigues de Carvalho Holanda Azevedo, Sarah Mariade Andrade Ruela, Guilherme2024-04-12T21:02:46Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1908Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-04-12T21:02:46Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
