Resumo: This article presents a literature review on the management of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), focusing on emerging strategies and best practices. PPH is a significant obstetric complication that continues to pose a challenge for healthcare professionals. The review encompasses guidelines and recommendations from organizations such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as highlighting studies on arterial embolization and other innovative interventions. The results emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and early identification of PPH to prevent serious complications. It is concluded that arterial embolization emerges as a valuable option in the management of refractory PPH, but its use should be carefully considered in conjunction with other therapeutic and preventive approaches.

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-02-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/136710.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n2p407-413Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 407-413Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 407-413Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 407-4132674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1367/1587Copyright (c) 2024 José Lucas Moura Vasconcelos, Andressa Karoline Alves Leite , Brenda Karise de Araújo Morais , Fernanda Helena Rossi , Gabriel da Silva Nascimento, Gabriela Martins Reginato, Giovanna Vieira Brito , Isabella Felisberto Cândido , Isadora Naves Vieira, José Antônio Coutinho Fagundes, Julia Maria Prestes Capatto , Kauara Marcelino Gonçalves, Luana Cruz Nunes Godinho , Marilia Karoliny Gomes Bueno de Magalhães Bucair , Millene Barizoni Silva , Myllena Guadanin Scariote , Nauana Santos de Jesus, Samuel Antunes Correia Bomfim, Thaís Gusmão Souto, Victória Persigili , Vinícius Ornelas Almeidahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Vasconcelos, José Lucas MouraLeite , Andressa Karoline Alves Morais , Brenda Karise de Araújo Rossi , Fernanda Helena Nascimento, Gabriel da Silva Reginato, Gabriela MartinsBrito , Giovanna VieiraCândido , Isabella FelisbertoVieira, Isadora NavesFagundes, José Antônio CoutinhoCapatto , Julia Maria Prestes Gonçalves, Kauara MarcelinoGodinho , Luana Cruz Nunes Bucair , Marilia Karoliny Gomes Bueno de MagalhãesSilva , Millene BarizoniScariote , Myllena GuadaninJesus, Nauana Santos deBomfim, Samuel Antunes CorreiaSouto, Thaís GusmãoPersigili , VictóriaAlmeida, Vinícius Ornelas2024-02-04T16:52:08Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1367Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-02-04T16:52:08Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
