Resumo: The quality of the teaching is one of the first questions that we should do when looking for system that keeps informations around children from first and second grades of elementary school and their developments. The objective of the study is to describe Elementary School Evaluation System (ESES) and its contribution to debate among managers and teachers to provide literacy. The research had been done in October and November 2018, the ESES`s informations are on Education Department of Fortaleza website, using qualitative document search to do references to this article. In front of the results, it was detected ways to evaluate the learnings and pedagogical interventions to assist some decisions.

In front of the results, it was detected ways to evaluate the learnings and pedagogical interventions to assist some decisions.A qualidade do ensino é um dos primeiros questionamentos que devemos fazer ao analisar uma proposta de um sistema que armazena informações acerca dos resultados de cada ano letivo sobre a evolução dos alunos do 1º e 2º anos do Ensino Fundamental. Diante do exposto, objetivou-se com este estudo descrever o Sistema de Avaliação do Ensino Fundamental (SAEF) e sua contribuição para o debate entre gestores e professores acerca do processo de alfabetização. O período da investigação aconteceu entre os meses de outubro e novembro de 2018, os dados coletados referente ao SAEF encontram-se contidos no site da Secretaria de Educação de Fortaleza, fazendo uso de uma pesquisa do tipo documental com abordagem qualitativa para referenciar os achados durante a realização da produção científica.
