Integrated curriculum: thinking integrated teaching in the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology in Brazil

Resumo: | The present text aims to reflect on the articulation between basic and professional education in the federal institutes and especially in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). For this, we are methodologically based on a bibliographical and documentary study. The legislation of professional education in Brazil and IFRS is analyzed, being based on authors that are occupied with the study of the thematic one. Thus, in a first moment we sketch about the professional education in Brazil, directing the look to the constitution of integrated education. In a second moment, we evaluated the alternation between integration and concomitance and transdisciplinarity. It is concluded that there are successful experiences that articulate successful pedagogical practices with human and technical training, but there are persistent resistances that hinder the integration between disciplines. The school's role is to value curricular integration in tune with the world of work and the regional context. |

Para tanto, nos baseamos metodologicamente em um estudo bibliográfico e documental. Analisa-se a legislação da educação profissional no Brasil e no IFRS, pautando-se em autores que se ocupam com o estudo da temática. Assim, em um primeiro momento esboçamos sobre a educação profissional no Brasil, direcionando o olhar para a constituição do ensino integrado. Em um segundo momento, avaliamos a alternância entre a integração e a concomitância e a transdisciplinaridade. Conclui-se que há experiências exitosas que articulam práticas pedagógicas bem-sucedidas com formação humana e técnica, mas persistem resistências evidentes que dificultam a integração entre disciplinas.
