Resumo: This research aimed to understand how music and its lyrics can be used as tools in the teaching-learning process of students in the first grade of the Integrated High School Technical Course in Computer Science at the Aracaju/IFS Campus in the subject of Sociology. Qualitative research, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data. As a result, an Educational Product was produced, which was applied and evaluated to show that music and its lyrics can and should be used as a pedagogical resource since they stimulate reflection and relate theory to the social context, acting as a motivating factor for study, as well as opening up pedagogical possibilities for working on cross-cutting themes or interdisciplinary practices, giving students a chance to reflect on their performance in the job market.

La metodología utilizada fue una investigación cualitativa y para la recolección de datos, se utilizaron cuestionarios y entrevistas semiestructuradas.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender como a música e a sua letra podem ser utilizadas como ferramentas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos estudantes da 1ª Série do Curso Técnico de Nível Médio Integrado em Informática, do Campus Aracaju/IFS, na disciplina de Sociologia. A metodologia utilizada foi uma pesquisa qualitativa e para a coleta dos dados, foram utilizados questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas.
