Use of the excel application as a teaching strategy for learners with special educational needs

Resumo: | This study was elaborated from an experience of a professor of Exact Sciences, who worked in modular disciplines of mathematics in a training course for people with special educational needs at a higher education institution. The objective was to verify the ability to use technological resources by the learners, as learning objects. In the mathematical activities, the Excel application was used, considering the students' previous knowledge. The proposal was configured as an action research. The work went through the references of the conception of disability, active methodologies and the use of creativity, to support the activities developed in the classroom. In the end, it was noticed that the activities involved the learners and provided reflections about their physical and cognitive abilities. As for the Excel application, in addition to being easily accessible, it proved to be suitable for individual and group use, with the characteristics of a learning object. |

O objetivo foi verificar a capacidade de utilização de recursos tecnológicos pelos aprendizes, enquanto objetos de aprendizagem. Nas atividades matemáticas foi utilizado o aplicativo Excel, considerando os conhecimentos prévios dos alunos. A proposta se configurou como uma pesquisa-ação. O trabalho perpassou pelos referenciais da concepção de deficiência, de metodologias ativas e do uso da criatividade, para dar sustentação às atividades desenvolvidas em sala de aula. Ao final, percebeu-se que as atividades envolveram os aprendizes e proporcionaram reflexões acerca de suas capacidades físicas e cognitivas.
