Teacher training and educational action in the age of digital culture: some reflections

Resumo: Digital technologies have made possible new teaching practices and have required from teachers different pedagogical skills and praxis in order to contribute to a more meaningful learning experience from their students. In this perspective, the present article aims to reflect on the ongoing training of teachers for using such technologies in teaching practice, in a planned and epistemologically grounded way. As it follows, we intend to understand which profile is expected from teachers in the digital culture era. Our empirical effort is a study carried out with teachers from primary and secondary education from the Sisal region in the state of Bahia, whose data analysis showed their conceptions and practices regarding digital technologies. For data gathering, we used a survey with multiple choice and text questions, answered by 14 teachers from municipal public schools in the mentioned region. The study points out that a teacher’s training directed for digital technologies with a Communicative Action perspective provides them with more interactive and dialogic teaching practices and contributes to the formation of participative students with autonomous knowledge construction.

Nessa perspectiva, este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a formação continuada de professores para o uso dessas tecnologias na ação docente, de forma planejada e epistemologicamente fundamentada. Em seu percurso, tencionamos entende qual perfil se espera do docente na era da cultura digital. Como campo empírico, apresentamos uma realizada com professores da Educação Básica na região sisaleira do estado da Bahia, cuja análise de dados evidenciou concepções e práticas em relação às tecnologias digitais. Para a construção dos dados, utilizamos questionário, com questões fechadas e abertas, respondido por 14 professores de escolas públicas municipais da região supracitada.
