Resumo: This article presents the methodology of an ongoing master research that intends to identify the self-regulated learning behaviors and strategies of undergraduate violin students when facing their academic tasks related to the instrumental practice, and to discuss the data contributions to professors who teach this public, in order to promote better understanding of their learning process and to foster more meaningful learning. With this research, it is hoped that the self-regulated behaviors of the participants will be identified and that the Inventory of Self-regulated Learning Processes (IPAA), the current instrument of this research, will be effective for the proposed objectives. Thus far, we have been able to identify studies with an IPAA questionnaire adapted for the educational context of primary and middle school, and higher education.
