THE PRACTICES OF EMERGENCY REMOTE TEACHING PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: REINVENTION AND INEQUALITY

Resumo: In a period of rapid transformation and high uncertainty about the future, this research identified in the practices of emergency remote teaching (ERT) in physical education during social isolation due to the COVID-19, the challenges and the learning of teachers and their expectations of integration of digital information and communication technologies (TDIC) in future teaching. This exploratory study was carried out with 33 physical education teachers who answered an online form. Most teachers use WhatsApp to direct assignments, record videos and audios, use videos and texts from the Internet. They also expressed the challenges and professional learning related to the ERT and said that they intend to integrate more TDICs into teaching in the future. The COVID-19 pandemic forced a reinvention or adaptation in the teaching-learning process in physical education, mediated by digital technologies. However, social inequalities reflect strongly on access to such technologies.

However, social inequalities reflect strongly on access to such technologies.En un período de rápida transformación y alta incertidumbre con respecto al futuro, esta investigación identificó en las prácticas de enseñanza remota de emergencia (ERE) en educación física durante el aislamiento social debido al COVID-19, los desafíos y aprendizajes de los docentes y sus expectativas de integración de las tecnologías digitales de la información y la comunicación (TDIC) en la educación del futuro. Este estudio exploratorio se realizo con 33 profesores de educación física que respondieron un formulario en línea. La mayoría de los maestros usan WhatsApp para dirigir tareas, graban videos y audios, usan videos y textos de Internet. También expresaron los desafíos y el aprendizaje profesional relacionados con la ERE y dijeron que tienen la intención de integrar más TDIC en la enseñanza futura. La pandemia COVID-19 obligó a una reinvención o adaptación en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la educación física, mediada por las tecnologías digitales. Sin embargo, las desigualdades sociales se reflejan fuertemente en el acceso a dichas tecnologías.Num período de rápida transformação e de alta incerteza quanto ao futuro, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar as práticas do ensino remoto emergencial (ERE) na educação física durante o isolamento social devido à COVID-19, os desafios e as aprendizagens dos professores e suas expectativas de integração das tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação (TDIC) no ensino futuro. Este estudo exploratório foi realizado com 33 professores de educação física de escolas públicas de Cuiabá-MT, que responderam um formulário online. A maioria dos professores usam o WhatsApp para encaminhar as tarefas, gravam vídeos e áudios, usam vídeos e textos da Internet. Eles também expressaram os desafios e aprendizagens profissionais relacionadas ao ERE e pretendem integrar mais as TDICs no ensino futuramente. A pandemia de COVID-19 forçou uma reinvenção ou adaptação no processo de ensino-aprendizagem da educação física, mediado pelas tecnologias digitais.
