VIRTUAL EDUCATION IN TIMES OF A PANDEMIC: REFLECTIONS ON CURRENT SETBACKS

Resumo: The pandemic has generally de-characterized the entire daily life of people and the world: habits and customs belonging to the culture of the countries have undergone great transformation. Social distancing measures were indicated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and accepted in most countries, causing the closure of social sectors, imposing a form of education, supported by ICTs. This article aims to reflect on the current scenario of education in the face of the pandemic. The methodology of systematic literature review (RSL) of the first studies of the Brazilian scientific community on the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on education was applied. Based on productions published in the CAPES Portal, in the Open Access Scientific Repositories of Portugal - RCAAP, in SCIELO and in Google Scholar, from March to July / 2020, showing the setbacks experienced by students and teachers in the period. It is concluded that the use of ICTs represents innovation in education.

Las medidas de distanciamiento social fueron indicadas por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y aceptadas en la mayoría de los países, provocando el cierre de sectores sociales, imponiendo una forma de educación, apoyada en las TIC. Este artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el escenario actual de la educación frente a la pandemia. Se aplicó la metodología de revisión sistemática de la literatura (RSL) de los primeros estudios de la comunidad científica brasileña sobre las consecuencias de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la educación. Basado en producciones publicadas en el Portal CAPES, en los Repositorios Científicos de Acceso Abierto de Portugal - RCAAP, en SCIELO y en Google Scholar, de marzo a julio de 2020, mostrando los retrocesos vividos por estudiantes y profesores en el período. Se concluye que el uso de las TIC representa innovación en la educación.A pandemia descaracterizou de forma geral todo o cotidiano das pessoas e do mundo: hábitos e costumes pertencentes à cultura dos países sofreram grande transformação. Medidas de distanciamento social foram indicadas pela Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) e aceitas na maioria dos países, causando o fechamento dos setores sociais, impondo uma forma de educação, sustentada pelas TICs. Este artigo tem o objetivo de fazer uma reflexão sobre o panorama atual da educação diante da pandemia. Aplicou-se a metodologia de revisão sistemática da literatura (RSL) dos primeiros estudos da comunidade científica brasileira sobre as consequências da pandemia do COVID-19 na educação. Embasada em produções publicadas no Portal da CAPES, nos Repositórios Científicos de Acesso Aberto de Portugal – RCAAP, no SCIELO e no Google Scholar, no período de março a julho/2020 mostrando os contratempos vivenciados por discentes e docentes no período.
