THE IMPERATIVE OF CHANGE IN THE TEACHING OF LITERATURE:RETHINKING METHODS FROM GENERATIVE THEMES

Resumo: This article aims to discuss the teaching of literature by proposing methodological changes based on the need to strengthen the literary reading at school, through generative themes of debates, where fictional works are selected according to a central theme that connects them. The work also presents results of research conducted with 63 high school students in 2015, through questionnaires with qualitative and quantitative issues. We attempted to get the perceptions and preferences of students in relation to the topics selected for the semester. The data showed the latent interest in debating the literary bias, emerging issues of today, such as social, gender and racism issues. The proposal proved to be very positive because it allowed a significant seizure of important issues that promoted interaction between the literary text and the elements of social reality.

O trabalho também apresenta resultados da pesquisa realizada com 63 alunos do ensino médio em 2015, através de questionários com questões quali e quanti. Buscou-se obter as percepções e as preferências dos estudantes em relação aos temas selecionados para o semestre. Os dados demonstraram o interesse latente em debater, pelo viés literário, questões emergentes da atualidade, como problemas sociais, gêneros e racismo.
