DIDACTIC MODELS OF DNA AS A STRATEGY FOR TEACHING GENETICS IN A COUNTRYSIDE SCHOOL

Resumo: This work seeks to build didactic models of DNA as a strategy for teaching genetics. The research was developed with students of the 3rd year of high school, in a rural school located in the municipality of Massapê do Piauí, with the aim of analyzing how the construction of didactic models can contribute to the understanding of the discipline of genetics, combining theory with the practice. Using the investigative method, based on theoretical research, the students, with the help of the researcher, built didactic models of the DNA molecule. To evaluate the results of the application of this work, a survey was carried out in the form of pre and post test questionnaires, from the results obtained, it was verified the importance of didactic models of DNA in the teaching and learning process, mainly to assist in the understanding complex content such as genetic content, specifically on the structure of nucleic acids.

La investigación fue desarrollada con alumnos del 3º año de la enseñanza media, en una escuela rural ubicada en el municipio de Massapê do Piauí, con el objetivo de analizar cómo la construcción de modelos didácticos puede contribuir a la comprensión de la disciplina de la genética, combinando teoría con la práctica. Utilizando el método investigativo, basado en la investigación teórica, los estudiantes, con la ayuda del investigador, construyeron modelos didácticos de la molécula de ADN. Para evaluar los resultados de la aplicación de este trabajo se realizó una encuesta en forma de cuestionarios pre y post test, a partir de los resultados obtenidos se verificó la importancia de los modelos didácticos de ADN en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, principalmente para asistir en la comprensión de contenidos complejos como el contenido genético, específicamente sobre la estructura de los ácidos nucleicoEste trabalho busca a construção de modelos didáticos do DNA como estratégia para o ensino de genética. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com alunos do 3º ano do Ensino Médio, em uma escola do campo localizada no município de Massapê do Piauí, no intuito de analisar como a construção de modelos didáticos podem contribuir para a compreensão da disciplina de genética, aliando a teoria com a prática. Pelo método investigativo, embasado na pesquisa teórica, os alunos, com auxílio dos pesquisadores, construíram modelos didáticos da molécula de DNA.
