Quality of Life in Telework: Professor’s Perceptions at a Federal Institute of Minas Gerais

Resumo: | Abstract: Teleworking with the pandemic scenario caused by COVID-19 was an alternative work but essential for the maintenance of public services. This work regime is a type of work provided for and authorized in situations of protection measure to confront public health, in accordance with Normative Instruction No. 27/2020. In this context, the quality of life in teleworking female servants of a federal public education institution in Minas Gerais was investigated. The objective of the research was to analyze how married or single female teachers, with or without children who need care, perceive the quality of life in telecommuting work. This is a unique case study developed through qualitative and descriptive research. The technique of content analysis was applied, using AtlasTi software, and the search for words that represented the construction of the reality experienced by these servants was used. The most frequent words were: distancing; family; focus; pains; interrupted; domestic responsibilities; poor Internet; communication; exhaustive routine and workload. Through the teachers' narratives, the results revealed difficulties and negative effects from telework. Keywords: Gender. Quality of life. Telework. Pandemic. |

Pandemic.Resumo: O teletrabalho no cenário pandêmico provocado pela COVID-19 foi uma alternativa de trabalho, essencial para a manutenção dos serviços públicos. Esse regime de trabalho é uma modalidade prevista e autorizada em situações de medida de proteção para enfrentamento de saúde pública, de acordo com a Instrução Normativa nº 27/2020. Nesse contexto, investigou-se a qualidade de vida de servidoras de uma instituição de ensino público federal de Minas Gerais no regime de teletrabalho. O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar como as professoras casadas ou solteiras, que tinham ou não filhos que necessitavam de cuidados, percebiam a qualidade de vida no trabalho em teletrabalho. Trata-se de um estudo de caso único, desenvolvido por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva. Foi aplicada a técnica de análise de conteúdo, utilizando o software AtlasTi e aplicado o recurso do World.art para busca de palavras que representavam a construção da realidade vivenciada por estas professoras. As palavras mais frequentes foram: distanciamento; família; foco; dores; interrompida; responsabilidades domésticas; internet ruim; comunicação; rotina exaustiva e carga de trabalho. Por meio das narrativas das docentes, os resultados revelaram dificuldades e efeitos negativos do teletrabalho. Palavras-chave: Gênero. Qualidade de vida. Teletrabalho.
