Resumo: This study pertains to the area of educational technologies, more specifically, it focuses on remote learning during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. We sought to understand how the Google Classroom software can contribute to the quality of the teaching and learning process and impact the teaching of the public network of Higher Education. Thus, we analyzed how Google Classroom was used at the Federal University of Espírito Santo for the implementation of remote teaching in undergraduate courses. It was also verified how the teaching and learning process occurs through this software and if it is a resource that positively influences the quality of teaching practice in order to suggest its use to other educational institutions as a technological tool to support face-to-face teaching. This case study has a qualitative approach and an applied nature. It is concluded that the use of Google Classroom was feasible in remote teaching at UFES and may contribute to the enhancement of the quality of hybrid education in higher education.   Keywords: Technology. Education. UFES.Este estudo pertence à área das tecnologias educativas, mais especificamente, se concentra no ensino remoto durante o período da pandemia da Covid-19. Buscou-se compreender como o software Google Classroom pode colaborar para a qualidade do processo de ensino e aprendizagem e impactar no ensino da rede pública de Ensino Superior. Dessa forma, analisou-se como o Google Classroom foi utilizado na Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo para a implementação do ensino remoto em cursos de graduação. Verificou-se, ainda, como se dá o processo de ensino e aprendizagem por meio desse software e se ele é um recurso que influencia positivamente na qualidade da prática docente a fim de sugerir seu uso para outras instituições de ensino enquanto uma ferramenta tecnológica de apoio ao ensino presencial. Este estudo de caso é de abordagem qualitativa e de natureza aplicada. Conclui-se que o uso do Google Classroom foi viável no ensino remoto da UFES e poderá colaborar para a potencialização da qualidade do ensino híbrido na educação superior. Palavras-chave: Tecnologia.
