Teacher education and digital storytelling : research trends and methodological approaches

Resumo: This qualitative work discusses the results of an integrative review on digital storytelling in teacher educacion, seeking to map possibilities and limits of using this type of narrative as a data collection instrument. The review indicates that there is a tendency to use digital storytelling in qualitative research as well as to associate them with other data collection instruments/procedures. There is a need for more depth on the methodological possibilities of digital storytelling in view of their multisemiotic discursive potential for the production of data in studies in the field of education and teacher training.

La revisión indica que existe una tendencia a utilizar narrativas digitales en la investigación cualitativa, así como a asociarlas con otros instrumentos/procedimientos de recolección de datos. Es necesario profundizar en las posibilidades metodológicas de las narrativas digitales en vista de su potencial discursivo multisemiótico para la producción de datos en estudios en el campo de la educación y la formación docente.Este trabalho, de caráter qualitativo, discute os resultados de uma revisão integrativa sobre as narrativas digitais na formação de professores buscando mapear possibilidades e limites do uso deste tipo de narrativa como um instrumento de coleta de dados. A revisão indica que há uma tendência em usar as narrativas digitais em pesquisas qualitativas bem de associá-las com outros instrumentos/procedimentos de coleta de dados.
