Society and cyberculture: a reflection made through popular song lyrics

Resumo: The technology has modified and inserted itself in cultures due to its presence and importance. Therefore, the current world has been more and more connected to the cyberculture. In order to analyse the impacts of this new culture in our comtemporary society, this article seeks to identify and to reflect on discourses about technology and cyberculture in popular music. For this, we are going to use greimasian semiotics as a theoretical benchmark analysis, which takes into account the structure and internal value of the text. After an analysis of the songs we observed that the technology impacted society in a positive and negative way.

Por lo tanto, el mundo actual está demostrando estar cada vez más conectado a la cibercultura. Con el objetivo de analizar los impactos de esta nueva cultura en la sociedad contemporánea, este artículo busca identificar y reflexionar sobre los discursos sobre la tecnología y la cibercultura en la música popular. Para ello, utilizaremos la semiótica greimasiana como referencia teórica de análisis, que tiene en cuenta la estructura y el valor interno del texto. Después del análisis de las canciones observamos que la tecnología impactó a la sociedad de manera positiva y negativa.A tecnologia tem modificado e adentrado culturas, devido sua forte presença e importância. Logo, o mundo atual vem se mostrando cada vez mais conectado a cibercultura. Com o objetivo de analisar alguns impactos desta nova cultura na sociedade contemporânea, este presente artigo busca identificar e refletir acerca de discursos sobre a tecnologia e cibercultura nas canções populares. Para isso, utilizaremos semiótica greimasiana como referencial teórico de análise, que considera a estrutura e o valor interno do texto.
