Resumo: | This article aims to demonstrate the contributions of the pedagogical use of reward to the motivation of students in basic education. Initially, we present a brief overview of motivation, its concepts, theories and relevance as an inducer of human action, and then analyze motivation specifically in education. The methodological procedures used for analysis are of a qualitative nature and the type of bibliographic research, in which an analysis of the characteristics and potential of rewards as a pedagogical strategy will be presented. The final considerations highlighted that the reward system, when used in a pedagogical way, contributes significantly to education motivation. |

Inicialmente se presenta un breve panorama de la motivación, sus conceptos, teorías y relevancia como inductor de la acción humana, seguido de un análisis de la motivación específicamente en la educación. Los procedimientos metodológicos utilizados para el análisis son de carácter cualitativo y del tipo de investigación bibliográfica, en la que se presentará un análisis de las características y potencialidades de las recompensas como estrategia pedagógica. Las consideraciones finales destacaron que el sistema de recompensas, cuando se utiliza de forma pedagógica, contribuye significativamente a la motivación educativa.O presente artigo tem como objetivo demonstrar as contribuições do uso pedagógico de recompensas para a motivação de estudantes na educação básica. Inicialmente, apresenta-se um breve panorama acerca da motivação, seus conceitos, teorias e relevância como indutor da ação humana, para em seguida analisar a motivação especificamente na educação. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados para análise configuram-se de natureza qualitativa e o tipo de pesquisa bibliográfica, em que, será apresentado uma análise das características e potencialidades das recompensas como estratégia pedagógica. As considerações finais destacaram que o sistema de recompensas, quando utilizado de forma adequada, contribui significativamente para a motivação educacional.
