CHANGES IN HIGHER EDUCATION, TRAINING AND PERSPECTIVES FOR TEACHING CITIZENSHIP

Resumo: Teaching work has changed drastically in the last twenty years, and today, in Brazil, it is hostage to new phenomena. Although announced by the technological revolution, the new logics that guide higher education have a recurring element: the commodification of education, and the fact that teaching work has been oriented towards a mercantilist and merely quantitative prism. This article aims to discuss the impact of this new trend in higher education on the professionalization of teachers. From the dialogue brought in the literature, it is also important to know how this professionalization of teachers responds to the needs of universities today. This work, of a quantitative nature, reveals itself through bibliographic research, whose need is to study the risks of university reforms and the legacy of the transformation of education into a commodity. The results show that teacher training, far from being limited to technical components, must have a broader perspective of professional development, in order to avoid an eventual or already real precariousness of teaching work. It is concluded that the problems that the commercialization of education can bring, in addition to demotivation and the loss of professional autonomy, can jeopardize citizenship itself. It is precisely this citizenship, a teaching citizenship, that this article promotes.

Aunque anunciadas por la revolución tecnológica, las nuevas lógicas que guían la educación superior tienen un elemento recurrente: la mercantilización de la educación, y el hecho de que el trabajo docente se ha orientado hacia un prisma mercantilista y meramente cuantitativo. Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir el impacto de esta nueva tendencia en la educación superior en la profesionalización de los docentes. A partir del diálogo traído en la literatura, también es importante saber cómo esta profesionalización de los docentes responde a las necesidades de las universidades de hoy. Este trabajo, de carácter cuantitativo, se revela a través de la investigación bibliográfica, cuya necesidad es estudiar los riesgos de las reformas universitarias y el legado de la transformación de la educación en una mercancía. Los resultados muestran que la formación docente, lejos de limitarse a componentes técnicos, debe tener una perspectiva más amplia del desarrollo profesional, a fin de evitar una eventual o ya real precariedad del trabajo docente. Se concluye que los problemas que puede traer la comercialización de la educación, además de la desmotivación y la pérdida de autonomía profesional, pueden poner en peligro la propia ciudadanía. Es precisamente esta ciudadanía, una ciudadanía docente, lo que promueve este artículo.O trabalho docente mudou de forma drástica nos últimos vinte anos, e encontra-se hoje, no Brasil, refém de novos fenômenos. Embora anunciadas pela revolução tecnológica, as lógicas novas que pautam do ensino superior têm um elemento recorrente: a mercantilização da educação, e o fato do trabalho docente ter-se orientado para o prisma mercantilista e meramente quantitativo. O presente artigo tem como objetivo discorrer sobre o impacto desta nova tendência do ensino superior sobre a profissionalização dos docentes. A partir do diálogo trazido nos recortes da literatura, importa-se igualmente saber como esta profissionalização dos docentes responde às necessidades das universidades nos dias de hoje. Este trabalho, de natureza quantitativa, revela-se por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica narrativa, cuja necessidade é a de estudar os riscos das reformas universitárias e o legado da transformação da educação em mercadoria. Os resultados demonstram que a formação docente, longe de ser apenas limitada aos componentes técnicos, deve ter uma perspectiva mais abrangente de desenvolvimento profissional, para evitar uma eventual ou já real precarização do trabalho docente. Conclui-se, que os problemas que a mercantilização do ensino pode trazer, para além da desmotivação e da perda da autonomia profissional, podem colocar em causa a própria cidadania.
