Moral harassment as a causative agent of psychopathologies in the working subject environment

Resumo: The objective of this article was to highlight moral harassment as a causative agent of psychopathologies in the work environment, given its characterization as a type of violence that involves hierarchy and power between  management/administration/leadership and workers. The explanatory study was carried out through a literature review. It was justified by gathering information about the phenomenon occurring in the work environment, which becomes a problem of public and social order, impacting social security, mainly reaching the courts through lawsuits. The study allowed us to understand that moral harassment causes serious damage to the health of the worker, mainly to psychic health, having as consequences stress, anxiety and depression, with the manifestation of psychosomatic disorders - –hich implies in emergency measures to be taken by the workers. companies to prevent the occurrence of such manifestations. It is understood, therefore, that the repair of the damage through material indemnities does not reverse the situation of physical and psychological health of the harassed workers.

O estudo do tipo explicativo, foi realizado por meio revisão bibliográfica. Justificou-se por reunir informações sobre o fenômeno ocorrente no ambiente de trabalho, que torna-se como problema de ordem pública e social, impactando a previdência social, principalmente chegando aos tribunais mediante processos judiciais. O estudo permitiu compreender que o assédio moral causa sérios danos à saúde do trabalhador, principalmente à saúde psíquica, tendo como consequências o estresse, a ansiedade e a depressão, com a manifestação de distúrbios psicossomáticos, o que imputa em medidas emergenciais a serem tomadas pelas empresas para prevenção da ocorrência de tais manifestações.
