This article aims to present a reflection on youth protagonism in education and the work of the aprendiz Comgás Program in three state public schools of Campinas/SP. Thus, we address the subject in two perspectives: first, from the importance of the work of educators in the process of development and youth protagonism, and second, the concern to hold a brief history about the rescue work insertion by projects in education and the implementation of the aprendiz Comgás Program in state schools. The role requires a re­lationship between young adults and new generations, so we believe that the emergence of youth protagonism as a possible alternative for education appears in different ways and that the aprendiz Comgás Program has partly contributed to the training of youth protagonism in public schools. The analysis method used is based on  qualitative research and literature from historic and contemporary material, besides the material provided by the aprendiz Comgás Program.
