Experiences lived by adolescents in situation of abandonment: how these experiences imply in learning?

Resumo: This work was developed with 6 adolescents, aged 13-19, in abandonment situation, who live in a Center of Attendance and Conviviality in Supervised Extension (CACES), located in the city of Ribeirão Preto – SP. In this setting, we tried to understand how experiences lived and shared by the adolescent in abandonment situation resulted in learning. It is a descriptive study with qualitative analysis of data. The methodology was based on observations, dialogues and notes, and a diary. We concluded that adolescent involved in this group are becoming subjects of their own lives and have been through striking experiences of violence, abandonment and discrimination. However, contrary to popular belief, these experiences provoke a criticism of the unjust ruling model in which we live. They have positive perspectives of life and dream of a more just and egalitarian world.

Nesse espaço, procuramos compreender como as experiências vivenciadas e compartilhadas por jovens nessa situação resultaram em aprendizagem. Os procedimentos metodológicos basearam-se em observações, diálogos e anotações em diário de campo. Conclui-se que os jovens envolvidos nesse grupo estão se constituindo como sujeitos de sua própria vida e levam consigo experiências marcantes de violência, abandono e discriminação. Mas, ao contrário do que se pensa, essas experiências despertam neles a criticidade do modelo dominador injusto no qual vivemos. Eles apresentam perspectivas positivas de vida e sonham com um mundo mais justo e igualitário.
