Resumo: The present research has as its study object the debate about sex education in the contemporary school context. Sex education was a widely debated topic and was included in the preliminary versions of the BNCC. However, the incisive performance of the conservative political benches, culminated in the removal of the concepts of gender and sexual orientation, failing to highlight important dimensions in the final document. The investigation aims, as a general objective, to identify, analyze and comprehend the aspects of sexual education present in the narratives of elementary school teachers in the current context of disputes of narratives and discourses. The specific objectives are: to map and analyze official documents that guide the approach of sex education in elementary school; to show how teachers from different areas of knowledge appropriate the political debate on sex education; to analyze how the concept of sex education is incorporated by teachers in their narratives about their teaching practices and, how the sexuality theme, diluted in the final version of the BNCC, is defended, criticized or ignored by the educators participating in the research. To achieve this goal, in addition to bibliographic research and document review, our analysis axis includes a set of semi-structured interviews with eight public school teachers from the State and Municipality of São Paulo. For data analysis, we sought the articulation between qualitative research techniques and Discourse Analysis, guided by the policy cycle formulated by Stephen Ball and Richard Bowe. The examination of the interviews revealed that there are different conceptions of sex education among the teachers participating in the research, such understandings are influenced by the values that make up the sexual culture of a given time, in different contexts and by different ideologies that are preached in the most diverse networks of social interactions. Although there is much to be done for sex education to have a positive acceptance in society, the testimonies obtained in the interview process offer hope that the structures of inequality and injustice are transformed through initiatives such as those described here. These are attitudes that contribute to the denaturalization of homophobia and to the eradication of prejudices in the realms of human consciousness and affectivity.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general identificar, analizar y comprender los aspectos de la educación sexual presentes en las narrativas de docentes de primaria en el contexto actual de disputas de narrativas y discursos. Los objetivos específicos son: mapear y analizar los documentos oficiales que orientan el trabajo de la educación sexual en la escuela primaria; mostrar cómo docentes de diferentes áreas del conocimiento se apropian del debate político sobre educación sexual; analizar cómo el concepto de educación sexual es incorporado por los docentes en sus narrativas sobre sus prácticas pedagógicas y cómo el tema de la sexualidad, diluido en la versión final de la BNCC, es defendido, criticado o ignorado por los docentes participantes en la investigación. El examen de las entrevistas reveló que existen diferentes concepciones de la educación sexual entre los docentes entrevistados, que tales entendimientos están influenciados por los valores que conforman la cultura sexual de un momento dado, en diferentes contextos y por diferentes ideologías. que se predican en las más diversas redes de interacciones sociales. Si bien queda mucho por hacer para que la educación sexual tenga una aceptación positiva en la sociedad, los testimonios obtenidos en el proceso de entrevistas brindan esperanza para que las estructuras de desigualdad e injusticia se transformen por medio de iniciativas como las aquí descritas. Son actitudes que contribuyen a la desnaturalización de la homofobia y a la erradicación de los prejuicios imperantes en los ámbitos de la conciencia y la afectividad humanaspesquisa tem como objeto de estudo o debate sobre educação sexual no contexto escolar contemporâneo. A educação sexual foi tema amplamente debatido e contemplado nas versões preliminares da BNCC. No entanto, a atuação incisiva das bancadas políticas conservadoras culminou na retirada dos conceitos de gênero e de orientação sexual, deixando de evidenciar dimensões importantes no documento final. A presente investigação tem por objetivo geral identificar, analisar e compreender as vertentes da educação sexual presentes nas narrativas de professores do ensino fundamental no atual contexto de disputas de narrativas e de discursos. Os objetivos específicos são: mapear e analisar documentos oficiais que norteiam o trabalho da educação sexual no ensino fundamental; mostrar como os professores das diferentes áreas do conhecimento se apropriam do debate político sobre educação sexual; analisar como o conceito de educação sexual é incorporado pelos professores em suas narrativas sobre suas práticas de ensino e, de que forma o tema sexualidade, diluído na versão final da BNCC, é defendido, criticado ou ignorado pelos docentes participantes da pesquisa. Para alcançar esse intento, além da pesquisa bibliográfica e da análise documental, nosso eixo de análise contempla um conjunto de entrevistas semiestruturadas com oito professores que lecionam em escolas da rede pública Estadual e Municipal de São Paulo. Para análise dos dados, buscamos a articulação entre as técnicas de pesquisa qualitativa e a Análise do Discurso, orientada pelo ciclo de políticas formulado por Stephen Ball e Richard Bowe. O exame das entrevistas revelou que há diferentes concepções de educação sexual entre os professores entrevistados, que tais compreensões são influenciadas pelos valores que compõem a cultura sexual de determinada época, em diferentes contextos e por distintas ideologias que se apregoam nas mais diversas redes de interações sociais. Ainda que haja muito a ser feito para que a educação sexual tenha aceitação positiva na sociedade, os depoimentos obtidos no processo de entrevista oferecem esperança para que as estruturas da desigualdade e da injustiça sejam transformadas por meio de iniciativas como as aqui descritas.
