The theme of this article is <Social Function of the Family: Responsibility of parents as a result of Affective Abandonment>. The following problem was investigated: “Is it possible to make parents responsible for emotional abandonment?”. The following hypothesis was considered “It is possible to make parents responsible for emotional abandonment”. The general objective is "To find out if the Affective Abandonment for being held responsible". The specific objectives are: “to list Family law institutes”; "Discuss about the Social Function of the Family"; “Possibility of accountability for emotional abandonment”. This work is important for a legal operator due to <civil liability for emotional abandonment>; for science, it is relevant for <addressing and valuing the current legislation>; it adds to society by the fact of <preserving the dignity of the human person>. This is qualitative theoretical research lasting six months.
