Resumo: The aim of the paper was to study the studies areas concerning to the reading research and the summaries of reading research present in the data base used in the present investigations. Physiology and Psychology ofReading is the area of most production (45,14%), in second place is the Teaching of the Reading (22,98%). In the Summaries (0,70%) the Englishstudies are the most frequent researches.

Fisiologia e Psicologia da leitura é a área de maior produção (45, 14%) vindo a seguir o Ensino da Leitura (22,98%).
