Resumo: Within the discussions on the racial issue in Brazil, one can observe as an emerging theme the representative discrepancy regarding spaces and positions of power occupied by black people, mainly women. In this sense, this article aims to understand the trajectory of black women in the Brazilian judiciary, with regard to the experiences of racism, achievements and obstacles faced. For that, a qualitative research was carried out, in which data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews. The reports presented about the academic phase and the exercise of the profession in the judiciary show how the feeling of not belonging to a certain space is part of these women's lives. The experiences lived within the judiciary point out situations of racism experienced by the interviewees, often in a veiled way, sometimes more ostensibly. The research findings contribute to the thinking of the need for a structural change in the judiciary with regard to racial issues, not only through racial quota policy, but, above all, with the creation of spaces for discussion and debates on racism institutional role in the judiciary.

Editora PUC Minas2021-09-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttp://periodicos.pucminas.br/index.php/economiaegestao/article/view/2558910.5752/P.1984-6606.2021v21n59p90-109Revista Economia & Gestão; v. 21 n. 59 (2021): E&G - MAIO/AGO; 90-1091984-66061678-8982reponame:Revista Economia & Gestãoinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas)instacron:PUC_MINSporhttp://periodicos.pucminas.br/index.php/economiaegestao/article/view/25589/18809Copyright (c) 2021 Revista Economia & Gestãoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMachado, Priscila Silva XimenesMiranda, Adílio Renê AlmeidaRezende, Alicia Madrid CesarBrito, Joice Zentner de2022-02-08T11:04:50Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/25589Revistahttp://periodicos.pucminas.br/index.php/economiaegestao/ONGhttp://periodicos.pucminas.br/index.php/economiaegestao/oai||economiaegestao@pucminas.br|| marcrez@hotmail.com|| marcrez@hotmail.com1984-66061984-6606opendoar:2022-02-08T11:04:50Revista Economia & Gestão - Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas)false
