Resumo: The purpose of this article is to reflect upon contemporary music listening taking into account the points of view that media, technology and culture impose on the percetual construction of ouro sonic experience and vice versa. This analysis considers ideas of authors like John Cage, Pierre Schaeffer, Srteve Reich, Brian Eno and Sílvio Ferra, according to contemporary listening modalities.

Presidem então a esta análise tanto a atenção acerca da dimensão cultural como sobre a perceptual da experiência estética no campo sonoro.
