THE POLICY OF EXPANDING S SLOTS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: PROINFÂNCIA IN REVIEW

Resumo: The objective of the text is to discuss the expansion of vacancies for Early Childhood Education in the context of the National Program for Restructuring and Acquisition of Equipment for Public School Network of Early Childhood Education (PROINFÂNCIA), considering that the federal government program had in its assumptions the expansion of vacancies for children from 0 to 5 years, in collaboration with the municipalities. The methodology was based on the literature review, taking as a reference the studies carried out in the years 2008 to 2018 on PROINFÂNCIA. The study revealed that Proinfância contributed to placing education on the agenda of educational policy priorities within the federal and municipal governments, representing a historical advance for the area.

La metodología se basó en la revisión de la literatura, tomando como referencia los estudios realizados en los años 2008 a 2018 sobre PROINFÂNCIA. El estudio reveló que Proinfância contribuyó a colocar la educación en la agenda de prioridades de la política educativa de los gobiernos federal y municipal, lo que representa un avance histórico para el área.O objetivo do texto é discutir a expansão de vagas para a Educação Infantil no contexto do Programa Nacional de Reestruturação e Aquisição de Equipamentos de Rede Escolar Pública de Educação Infantil (PROINFÂNCIA), tendo em vista que o programa do governo federal tinha em seus pressupostos a expansão de vagas para as crianças de 0 a 5 anos, em regime de colaboração com os municípios. A metodologia esteve pautada na revisão da literatura, tendo como referência os estudos realizados nos anos de 2008 a 2018 sobre o Proinfância.
