Resumo: | The general objective of this paper was to discuss play and its influence on children development and autonomy. The specific objectives were to understand playing as a child's right, to understand the role of toys in the teaching-learning process; present the handmade toy as a possibility to play and use it as an important element in the construction of autonomy. The work sought to show the importance of playing in childhood, clarifying that ludic elements, ludic approach and playing can be important tools for the learning process, the construction of autonomy and social relations. In order to achieve the intended objectives, a bibliographic search was performed through some authors that deal with the subject, such as: Carneiro, Dodge, Vygotsky, Piaget. As a result of this work, it was observed that playing is a facilitator of child development in different senses of life, whether in school, family or social space. The study allowed us to understand that the playful, when pedagogically oriented, can positively interfere in learning related to schooling, expressions of interpersonal and social relationships, in the elaboration of affection and other feelings experienced by the child. The act of playing also provides elements that boost autonomy so that child development can occur more smoothly. It was also concluded that, for the incorporation of the ludic as a facilitating learning tool, it is necessary an educational policy that guarantees qualified teacher training and adequate spaces for the application of activities. In this sense, playing should be understood as a right of the child. |

Os objetivos específicos se constituíram em entender o brincar como um direito da criança, compreender a função do brinquedo no processo de ensino-aprendizagem; apresentar o brinquedo artesanal como uma possibilidade de brincar e utilizá-lo como um elemento importante na construção da autonomia. O trabalho procurou mostrar a importância do brincar na infância, esclarecendo que o lúdico e as brincadeiras podem ser ferramentas importantes para o processo de aprendizagem, de construção da autonomia e de relações sociais. Na busca de atingir os objetivos pretendidos, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica através de alguns autores que tratam do assunto, tais como: Carneiro, Dodge, Vygotsky, Piaget. Como resultado deste trabalho, observou-se que o ato brincar é um meio facilitador do desenvolvimento infantil em diferentes sentidos da vida, seja no espaço escolar, familiar ou social. O estudo propiciou compreender que o lúdico, quando orientado pedagogicamente, pode interferir positivamente nas aprendizagens vinculadas à escolarização, nas expressões de relações interpessoais e sociais, na elaboração da afetividade e de outros sentimentos vivenciados pela criança. O ato de brincar ainda proporciona elementos que dinamizam a autonomia para que o desenvolvimento infantil possa ocorrer com maior fluidez. Concluiu-se ainda que, para a incorporação do lúdico como ferramenta facilitadora da aprendizagem, faz-se necessário uma política educacional que garanta formação de professores qualificados e espaços adequados para a aplicação de atividades.
