Resumo: The present research aims to observe sign language translator and interpreter (SLI) activity in artistic-cultural sphere, during interpretative act at theatrical spectacle genre, describing and analyzing the nonverbal, verbal and verbal-visual elements that mark this professional’s enunciation during discursive mobilization of a theatrical scene that carries Portuguese language utterances into the Brazilian sign language (libras). To do so, we performed a analytical-descriptive qualitative study of four spectacles that took place in São Paulo and had their presentations accessible in libras, they were: Hotel Mariana (07/05//2017), Ida (15/08/2017) and Adeus palhaços mortos! (08/22/2017) at Instituto Itaú Cultural, and A princesinha medrosa (09/03/2017) at SESC Santana. In addition to the video recording of the shows and the performance of the SLIs, this study corpus was formed by the questionnaire we developed and that was applied to the SLIs, the response to the questionnaires and the spectacles flyers. The questions that motivated this research were: a) Beyond the text spoken by the actors, what aspects of theatrical scene influence the enunciation of the SLI during the interpretative act? b) What are the strategies used by SLI to communicate extralinguistic aspects? c) Preparation and the logistics of acting as position and vision of the theatrical scene influence the interpretive strategies of SLIs? Our theoretical basis was from the dialogue between studies on theatricality, sign language translation interpretation studies and the dialogical perspective of the Bakhtin’s Circle on language. In this study, that we consider utterances by its extraverbal, verbal and verbal-visual dimension, we observe the sociohistorical- ideological context and understand the theatrical scene as a verb-visual utterance that occurs in the plot of texts composed both by what was said by the actors, as by the stage, stage movement, stage elements, projections, sound effects, etc. The analysis of nonverbal, verbal and verbal-visual elements highlighted different ideological and enunciate positions and different interpretive choices depending on these variables. The corpus analysis points to a verbal-visual totality and how SLI influences and is influenced by the scene, in which is an amalgamated and constitutive element of the spectacle totality, of the concrete utterance

The corpus analysis points to a verbal-visual totality and how SLI influences and is influenced by the scene, in which is an amalgamated and constitutive element of the spectacle totality, of the concrete utteranceA presente pesquisa tem como objetivo observar a atividade do tradutor intérprete de língua de sinais (TILS) na esfera artístico-cultural, no ato interpretativo do gênero espetáculo teatral, descrevendo e analisando os elementos extraverbais, verbais e verbo-visuais que marcam a enunciação desse profissional durante a mobilização discursiva da cena teatral, que acontece com enunciados em língua portuguesa, para a língua brasileira de sinais (libras). Para tanto, realizamos um estudo qualitativo do tipo analítico-descritivo de quatro espetáculos que se apresentaram em São Paulo com acessibilidade em libras: Hotel Mariana (05/07/2017), Ida (15/08/2017) e Adeus palhaços mortos! (22/08/2017) no Instituto Itaú Cultural, e A princesinha medrosa (03/09/2017) no SESC Santana. Além do registro em vídeo dos espetáculos e da atuação dos TILS, constituiu o corpus deste estudo o questionário que elaboramos e que foi aplicado aos TILS, a resposta aos questionários e o material de divulgação dos espetáculos. As questões que motivaram a pesquisa foram: a) para além do texto proferido pelos atores, que aspectos da cena teatral influenciam a enunciação dos TILS durante o ato interpretativo?; b) quais as estratégias utilizadas pelos TILS para comunicação de aspectos extralinguísticos?; c) o preparo e a logística de atuação como posicionamento e visão da cena teatral influenciam nas estratégias interpretativas dos TILS? A fundamentação teórica se deu a partir do diálogo entre os estudos sobre a teatralidade, os estudos da tradução e da interpretação de língua de sinais (ETILS) e a perspectiva dialógica do Círculo de Bakhtin sobre a linguagem. Neste estudo em que lançamos olhar para a dimensão extraverbal, verbal e verbo-visual dos enunciados, observamos o contexto sócio-histórico-ideológico e entendemos a cena teatral como um enunciado verbo-visual que se dá no conjunto de textos interrelacionados, composto tanto pelo que foi proferido pelos atores, como pelo cenário, movimentação de palco, elementos cênicos, projeções, efeitos sonoros etc. A análise de elementos extraverbais, verbais e verbo-visuais destacou diferentes posições ideológicas e enunciativas que apontam para diferentes escolhas interpretativas, dependendo dessas variáveis. A análise do corpus aponta para uma totalidade verbo-visual e o quanto o TILS influencia e é influenciado pela cena da qual é um elemento amalgamado e constitutivo do todo do espetáculo, o enunciado concretoCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/47842/Carolina%20Fernandes%20Rodrigues%20Fomin.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Linguística Aplicada e Estudos da LinguagemPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Filosofia, Comunicação, Letras e ArtesLíngua Brasileira de SinaisLIBRASIntérpretes para surdosSign Language InterpretationInterpreters for the deafCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LINGUISTICA::LINGUISTICA APLICADAO tradutor intérprete de libras no teatro: a construção de sentidos a partir de enunciados cênicosinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTCarolina Fernandes Rodrigues Fomin.pdf.txtCarolina Fernandes Rodrigues Fomin.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain526667https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/21782/4/Carolina%20Fernandes%20Rodrigues%20Fomin.pdf.txte44ef6658ec877667051bdbd33c45c68MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
