The main objective of this work was to study indigenous literature, as a participating element of Brazilian education. It was necessary to understand the way and practices in which teachers can work with indigenous literature within the school context. Therefore, I emphasize that the objective of this research is to understand and promote interdisciplinary dialogues that contribute to the repertoire of intercultural knowledge. When dealing with the importance of racial-ethnic teaching, in school development, with foundations presented by indigenous literature, as a contributing factor to this teaching process. The research is characterized as exploratory and qualitative and in data collection, its nature is bibliographic. References will be presented in qualified magazines and works that deal with the deepening of the theme, which provides the importance of including indigenous literature in schools. Thus, it is evident to reflect on indigenous literatures, in search of an intercultural, democratic and humanizing education. As a theoretical framework to achieve the objectives of this research, there are mainly Daniel Munduruku, Cristino Wapichana and Conceição Evaristo.
