Through spoken and written language, people interact socially, using resources by both modalities of the communication act. Each person, motivated by the social group this person is part of, among multiple factors, makes use of spoken strategies so that the communication, the interaction between speakers is possible. The corpus of this paper is a second hand text; a literary one. Our main and fundamental aim is to show the linguistic resources that the author uses to create the effect of a conversation between the writer and the reader, so that the writer is able to transform the reader into the interlocutor of this conversation, in spite of the temporal distance between the written tale and its reader that may be counted, in some cases, in years or ages. Although it is right to affirm that literary texts, among other reasons, are written with aesthetic purposes in mind, they are also excellent source of studies that aim at collecting linguistic data of a specific age. Therefore, after reading the analyzed corpus text, we noticed that the author used the spontaneous oral speech resources to talk to his reader, turning the reader into his interlocutor, however; in this case, the reader and the author just interact with linguistic resources explored by the writer. In other words, the dialogue only happens by the written mode. To sum up, the object of our assay is the interaction between the reader and the writer, searching for linguistic resources that put interlocutors, who were separated by territorial and temporal factors, together through a literary text
