Notes on the doctrinal debate over the need for maintenance of reverse or annul the Brazilian legal system, reporting the arguments of the portion of the doctrine that considers it unnecessary, as well as the reasons considered by those who claim to be of great importance to maintaining reverse or annul the native court system. Considerations of general notions about the institute of reverse or annul to the context of this remedy in the national procedural system, enabling partners from different orders, from undergraduates to professional activists in advocacy, can comprehend, in its fullness, the issues addressed in this work. Analysis of the hypotheses of suitability for reverse or annul in the law in force, as well as those identified by the doctrine and jurisprudence. Examination of the effects generated by the opposition of reverse or annul, demonstrating its practical aspects. Verification of appellate procedure inherent to reverse or annul, considering, from the moment of their opposition to his trial, all possible situations to occur in practice, also pointing to the solution to them. Examining the relevancy of the reverse or annul in exceptional situations, which generate considerable doubt on the doctrine and the actual day-today law professionals and, because of its relevance, have been settled by judicial understanding signed during the years. Conclusion on the importance of maintaining the reverse or annul in Brazilian law, given the peculiarities pointed out throughout this work
