Resumo: The perspective of the life course in educational interventions leads to the development of new learning. The article presents the contributions of university educational initiatives to aging. The need to include themes related to the elderly and the aging process permanently at the universities is evident. Innovative teaching, research and extension practices improve the appreciation of all ages and lifelong learning.

Este texto presenta las aportaciones de las iniciativas educativas universitarias para el envejecimiento. La necesidad de incluir permanentemente temas relacionados con las personas mayores y el proceso de envejecimiento en las universidades. Las prácticas innovadoras en la docencia, la investigación y la extensión impulsan la construcción de una sociedad que valora todas las edades. A perspectiva do curso de vida nas intervenções educativas desperta para o desenvolvimento de novas aprendizagens. O presente texto apresenta as contribuições de iniciativas educativas universitárias para o envelhecimento. Evidencia-se a necessidade da inclusão de temáticas relacionadas ao idoso e ao processo de envelhecimento de maneira permanente nas universidades.
