Resumo: | The article analyzes the history of the National Technical School from the memory of former students, members of the Alumni Association of the National Technical School and the Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca. It investigates the educational project of industrial education reform in the 1940s and the life trajectory of students, focusing on the relationship between social memory and history of education, as well as experience and social identity in the world of work. The methodology of oral history and public history is claimed to renew analyzes of the history of education. |

Investiga el proyecto educativo de reforma de la educación industrial en la década de 1940 y la trayectoria de vida de los estudiantes, centrándose en la relación entre la memoria social y la historia de la educación, así como la experiencia y la identidad social en el mundo del trabajo. Se reivindica la metodología de historia oral e historia pública para renovar los análisis de la historia de la educación. O artigo analisa a história da Escola Técnica Nacional a partir da memória de egressos, membros da Associação de Ex-alunos da Escola Técnica Nacional e do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca. Investiga-se o projeto educacional de reforma do ensino industrial nos anos 1940 e a trajetória de vida de estudantes, enfocando a relação entre memória social e história da educação, bem como experiência e identidade social no mundo do trabalho.
