Resumo: | This article notes the precariousness of research on the history of state professional education, with regard to the collection and critic of sources, taking as an example the Escola Profissional Masculina da Capital (São Paulo). Founded in 1911 to qualify and nationalize the workforce, and directed for 23 years by the educator Aprigio Gonzaga, its contribution remains associated with backward and empirical procedures. The creation of the Superintendence of Professional Education in 1934 is considered the ground zero of this teaching, for reformulating it according to guidelines of the Rational Labor Organization. São Paulo Public Education Survey, carried out by Fernando de Azevedo, in 1926, was one of the strategies responsible for the consensus; therefore, it will be analyzed in this article. |

Fundada en 1911 para capacitar y nacionalizar la fuerza laboral, y dirigida durante 23 años por el educador Aprigio Gonzaga, su aporte permanece asociado a procedimientos retrógrados y empíricos. La creación de la Superintendencia de Educación Profesional en 1934, se considera el punto cero de esta enseñanza, para reformularla de acuerdo con los lineamientos de la Organización Racional del Trabajo. La Encuesta de Educación Pública de São Paulo, realizada por Fernando de Azevedo, en 1926, fue una de las estrategias responsables del consenso; por lo tanto, se analizará en este artículo.O presente artigo constata a precariedade de pesquisas sobre a história do ensino profissional estadual no que tange à coleta e à crítica de fontes, tomando como exemplo a Escola Profissional Masculina da Capital (São Paulo). Fundada em 1911 para qualificar e nacionalizar a força de trabalho, e dirigida por 23 anos pelo educador Aprigio Gonzaga, sua contribuição continua associada a procedimentos atrasados e empíricos. A criação da Superintendência do Ensino Profissional em 1934 é considerada o marco zero desse ensino por reformulá-lo segundo orientações da Organização Racional do Trabalho.
