Resumo: | This study deals with an emerging theme for Education in the 21st century, active learning centered on the role of students in the context of active teaching and learning methodologies, more specifically in the teaching of mathematics. In this research, we seek to identify and analyze scientific articles in the areas of Education and Mathematics Education, in national journals, that deal with the theme "Active methodologies in teaching mathematics" and present the main methodologies used by teachers in their classes. This qualitative research of the bibliographic type used the analytical-descriptive approach for the analysis and understanding of the produced data. After a systematic search on the CAPES Periodicals Portal, using its free access and public domain, the descriptors were applied: “active methodologies” AND “mathematics”, as well as the exclusion and inclusion criteria as protocols to build the corpus of analysis of the research, that is, the data that resulted in five articles aligned with the research objectives. The results of the study show a scientific production that is still very timid in this area, but with varied implementations of active methodologies at different levels of education, regardless of the mathematical content to be learned. The researchers emphasize positive aspects of active methodologies with regard to building students' personal and cognitive skills when interacting to solve problems. But they are also emphatic in saying that active methodologies are not the panacea of education, since they still need to face many challenges. |
