Resumo: | After 2020 and 2021, marked by lockdowns and several restrictions on the sector of tourism, which faced an uncountable amount of loss, 2022 is presenting the challenge of the postpandemic scenario. The challenge, then, is to understand and predict the medium-long term effects on customer behavior in tourism and to understand the emerging trends. Between the latest, one is particularly taking place: workation. This new formula is a mixture between vacation and work, being the possibility of the employee to work from another place besides the workplace, with a laptop and the willingness to escape the routine. Taking into account the larger number of companies that are designing hybrid or remote working modes as part of the work-life balance policy, the present paper suggests that tourism, from a destination marketing and communication perspective, should look at it as an opportunity. Therefore, a complementary strategy to attract workationers from foreign countries in Centro de Portugal has been designed, by analyzing the destination through statistics and trends by province. |

Therefore, a complementary strategy to attract workationers from foreign countries in Centro de Portugal has been designed, by analyzing the destination through statistics and trends by province.
