Resumo: Introduction: Organisations are constantly facing change and, over the last months, the COVID-19 pandemic has introduced a set of cross-cutting changes that forced many employees to work from home. Objectives: Identify the emotional competencies that can be found in the different organisational change processes related to remote working and to identify the relationship between emotional competencies and resistance to organisational change. Methods: This descriptive, quantitative, correlational study was conducted with a sample of 115 workers from different business sectors Results: Showed a correlation between cognitive rigidity and emotional competence. It also became evident that emotional competencies have no influence whatsoever on the change management processes that take place in a remote working environment. Conclusion: The respondents showed low resistance to change and high emotional competence, which may have helped them adapt to this kind of work.

Objetivos: Describir las competencias emocionales en los procesos de cambio organizacional en el contexto del teletrabajo e identificar cómo las competencias emocionales se relacionan con la resistencia al cambio organizacional. Métodos: El estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo y correlacional, realizado con una muestra de 115 trabajadores de diferentes ramas empresariales Resultados: Permitió comprobar la existencia de correlación entre rigidez cognitiva y habilidades emocionales. También fue posible concluir que las competencias emocionales no influyen en los procesos de cambio en el contexto del teletrabajo. Conclusión: Los encuestados mostraron baja resistencia al cambio y un alto nivel de habilidades emocionales, lo que puede haber contribuido a una mejor adaptación a este tipo de trabajo.Introdução: As organizações passam por constantes alterações, ultimamente, e mais transversais a todas, foram as alterações exigidas devido à COVID-19, que levaram à colocação de colaboradores na modalidade de teletrabalho. Objetivos: Descrever as competências emocionais nos processos de mudança organizacional em contexto de teletrabalho, e identificar de que forma as competências emocionais se relacionam com a resistência à mudança organizacional. Método: O estudo de caráter descritivo, quantitativo e correlacional, levado a cabo com uma amostra de 115 trabalhadores oriundos de diferentes ramos empresariais. Resultados: Verificou-se a existência de correlação entre a rigidez cognitiva e as competências emocionais. Também foi possível concluir que as competências emocionais não têm influência nos processos de mudança em contexto de teletrabalho.
