Resumo: The contact with information technologies in higher education is constant, much due to the way of teaching and transmitting knowledge through static and dynamic images, and that they occupy more and more space, for the ease of understanding about the form Of presentation, and on the other hand, there are digital media, to share those same images, contents, presentations, or other material related to the classroom. This familiarity with technology in one way or another is promoting digital literacy, but it is not always the case when use requires something more specific. This report gives a brief historical context of distance learning in Portugal, and how technology has been occupying traditional classrooms, not intending to create new trends and references on new guidelines for transmitting knowledge, but with the aim of In the light of the representations, to create a critical look at how the technology is implemented and to be used in a higher education school In this particular case, the platform that assists this process is the LMS Moodle.
