Resumo: | This practicum report aims to obtain the Master's degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education of the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. The document reports the journey of a preservice teacher (the author) in the school context, in which the development of skills assigned to the role of Physical Education teacher took place, as well as the construction of a professional identity. For the preservice teacher, it was his first experience at a Portuguese school, a private school in Vila Nova de Gaia, which served as stage for his pedagogical practice thoghether with two colleagues, under the supervision of a cooperating teacher and a faculty advisor. Several challenges were faced, both personally and professionally. The report reflects the road taken, which started with a clash with reality, which made evident the importance of the capacity to adapt and identify with the context, in order to overcome barriers. During the school placement, it was possible to access school functioning and dynamics, as well as the interpersonal relationships that exist in the school community. The school placement enhanced the development of my organizational and instructional skills, as well as the application and contextualized understanding of several instructional models taking into account the class identities and the needs of the students. The school year was atypical, as a result of a new reality covered with multiple challenges and problems that had to be overcome. Distance learning had to be implemented, leading me to develop different teaching methods and move to a different physical education prism. The need to respond to this situation led me to deepen the distance learning subject, more specifically flipped learning, an unknown model and still little used in physical education teaching. I concluded that flipped learning is a method that empowers the student, making him proactive and autonomous in the construction of his own learning. |
