Resumo: The Internet boosted the diversity and multiplicity of information, as well as making it possible for anyone topublish and share information, which translates as a prime location with a vast and chaotic deposit of contents. The YouTube platform is one among many communication tools made available on the Internet, with potential data to be analyzed and addressed in research. In this document we analyze a set of videos posted on YouTube on special educational needs (SEN). The methodological strategies used for collecting and processing corpus data featured the identification of search terms, inclusion/exclusion criteria and descriptive and interpretative qualitative analysis of the content covered in that corpus. In the performed analysis the most viewed types of videos, the types of typology of SEN thate are portrayed and the types of content covered in the set of videos that constitute the corpus data are presented. The results obtained suggest that the type of videos with more views are academic work and news and have the ambition of generating awareness, dissemination and motivation for building an inclusive society.

A plataforma YouTube é uma de entre muitas ferramentas de comunicação disponibilizadas na Internet, com dados potenciais a serem analisados e tratados no campo da investigação científica. Neste trabalho é analisado um conjunto de vídeos publicados no YouTube sobre as necessidades educativas especiais (NEE). As estratégias metodológicas utilizadas para a recolha e tratamento do corpus de dados caraterizou-se pela identificação de termos de pesquisa, critérios de inclusão/exclusão e pela análise qualitativa descritiva e interpretativa dos conteúdos abordados nesse corpus de dados. Na análise efetuada apresentam-se os tipos de vídeos mais visualizados, os tipos de tipologias de NEE que são retratadas e os tipos de conteúdos abordados nesse conjunto de vídeos que constitui o corpus de dados.
