Freedom and Artistic Expression in the Educational Projects of Helena Antipoff and Augusto Rodrigues

Resumo: This article addresses the Art Teaching developed at Fazenda do Rosário, in Ibirité, Minas Gerais, Brazil, between 1940 and 1960, through actions arising from the collaboration established between the artist and educator from Pernambuco, Augusto Rodrigues, and the Russian psychologist and educator, Helena Antipoff. It was considered the historiography perspective about sociability and the context of those involved to the analysis of the various original sources consulted. The results showed that the integration movement between Art and Education articulated by Rodrigues and Antipoff happened throught a network of intellectuals, educators and artists involved in the modernist movement of educating through Art, conjugating knowledge in the interface of Psychology, free expression, popular culture appreciation, and the full education of the students.

Consideraram-se as perspectivas da historiografia sobre a sociabilidade e o contexto dos envolvidos para análise das variadas fontes originais consultadas.
