Dicotomia entre o pessoal e o profissional: O impacto das adversidades intrínsecas na procura do que é ser um bom professor

Resumo: Dicotomia entre o pessoal e o profissional is a document constructed by a pre-service teacher (the author) who describes his journey from the moment he remembers being a student to the moment he feels he is becoming a teacher. A secondary school in Vila Nova de Gaia was the space where this path was traced. This experience took place in two secondary school classes. One in the 11th grade and the other in the 10th grade. The journey was made with three colleagues, two pre-service teachers and a cooperating teacher. The journey was also guided by a supervising teacher from faculty. It is worth highlighting the wealth of learning that this pre-service teacher acquired throughout this school year. Both in terms of planning and in terms of pedagogical intervention. The challenges that arose were always faced with resilience, mutual help and a spirit of overcoming. It is also important to mention the participation of the school, the relationship with the educational community, the organisation of activities and the monitoring of the work of a class director. All these experiences had a great influence on the creation of the professional identity of this future teacher. The research study developed aimed to analyse the students' perspectives about the implementation of Evaluation for Learning strategies in the area of physical fitness. The results obtained showed that these strategies enhance the students' involvement in class, making them more autonomous and aware of the teaching-learning process. They foster a spirit of mutual help and increase the students' levels of responsibility for their own learning and their colleagues' learning. The report also points to the importance of studying mental health issues in the teaching profession.
