Resumo: | Abstract: The purpose of this text is to examine the academic production about high school in the field of educational policies in the period from 1998 to 2016. Some of the most meaningful aspects of the investigation in the referred period are presented. The sources, the ways and the dimension of the bibliographic research are expounded, coming from the following sources: a) academic production in theses; b) well qualified journals in the field of education; and c) studies presented in the Working Groups: State and Educational Policy and Work and Education from the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (Anped). It is intended, in general, to show the tensions and challenges for researches about high school in the context of educational policies, based on the dimensions and historic conflicts in the stage of Basic Education. It was observed that some historic themes are recurring in the debate about high school, but there are also certain singularities in some debates, as well as some important gaps regarding the advancements in knowledge in the field. Educational policies.Resumen: El propósito de este texto es examinar la producción académica sobre la enseñanza secundaria en el campo de la política educacional en el período de 1998 hasta 2016. Son presentados algunos de los aspectos más significativos de las investigaciones del referido período. Son expuestas las fuentes, los caminos y la dimensión de la investigación bibliográfica oriunda de las siguientes fuentes: a) producciones académicas en tesis; b) periódicos bien clasificados en la área de la educación; y c) estudios presentados en los Grupos de Trabajo: Estado y Política Educacional y Trabajo y Educación de la Asociación Nacional de Posgrado e Investigación en Educación (Anped). Se Busca, de modo general, evidenciar las tensiones y los desafíos para las investigaciones sobre la enseñanza secundaria en el contexto de las políticas educacionales, teniendo como base la dimensión y los embates históricos de esa etapa de la Educación Básica. Se observó que hay temáticas históricas que son recurrentes en el debate sobre la enseñanza secundaria, mas también hay cierta singularidad en algunos debates, además de algunas lagunas importantes en lo que se refiere al avance del conocimiento en la área. Políticas Educacionales.Resumo: O propósito deste texto é examinar a produção acadêmica sobre o Ensino Médio no campo da política educacional, no período de 1998 a 2016. São apresentados alguns dos aspectos mais significativos das investigações do referido período. São expostas as fontes, os caminhos e a dimensão da pesquisa bibliográfica oriunda das seguintes fontes: a) produções acadêmicas em teses; b) periódicos bem classificados na área da educação; e c) estudos apresentados nos Grupos de Trabalho: Estado e Política Educacional e Trabalho e Educação da Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Educação (Anped). Busca-se, de modo geral, evidenciar as tensões e os desafios para as pesquisas sobre o Ensino Médio no contexto das políticas educacionais, tendo por base a dimensão e os embates históricos desta etapa da Educação Básica. Observou-se que há temáticas históricas que são recorrentes no debate sobre o Ensino Médio, mas há, também, certa singularidade em alguns debates, além de algumas lacunas importantes no tocante ao avanço do conhecimento na área.
